Andrew Legg - DPhil (Oxf) BCL (Oxf)
Andrew has worked with a number of human rights organisations internationally. His work has included providing training materials, liaising with national government, international organisation and civil society actors, and representing indigent clients in a variety of human rights claims. Andrew teaches human rights law at the University of Oxford, where he completed his doctorate in international human rights law. He is training as a barrister in London. Andrew is a trustee of the UK branch of an international human rights organisation.
Andy Pearson – MA (Oxf), Solicitor (non-practising)
Andy has worked as a commercial solicitor in a wide range of corporate environments. More recently he has relinquished the practice of law to focus on business ventures in the areas of technology and new media. Andy is a director of several start-up companies and provides consultancy on business start-ups, entrepreneurship and the development of business friendly legal systems.
Catherine Gladwell – MA (Oxf), MA (Lond)
Catherine has worked with a range of NGOs and community organisations, both internationally and in the UK. She specialises in refugee education and protection, and is the founder and director of the charity Refugee Support Network. Catherine is fluent in French and Spanish and has an MA in Education and International Development from the University of London.
David Hollow – PhD (Lond)
David has worked in over 15 countries with a variety of government, private sector and civil society organisations. He specialises in education policy and the impact assessment of development programmes, particularly in the areas of education, multi-stakeholder partnerships, ICT in development and participatory methods. David holds a PhD in Development Geography and also lectures at the University of London on an MSc programme regarding technology and development.
Matt Thomas – MA (Cov)
Matt has worked in Africa, Asia and South America with a variety of international NGOs and community based organisations, managing an array of development projects, and undertaking monitoring and evaluation of programmes. He is currently working for a UK based International NGO, and is a trustee of another International development organisation. He specialises in disaster management and project implementation, and has an MA in Conflict Resolution.
Joel Mitchell - BA (Harv)
Joel specialises in developing tools for mobile health, mobile learning, and organising and implementing data management systems for development. He has experience developing applications and tools for emerging technology platforms for the UK's National Health Service, and various international NGO's. Using participatory tools, Joel works with organisations to explore new approaches to monitoring and evaluation of ongoing projects and conflict and disaster management (he has particular experience working in the Sahel and Horn of Africa).
Chris Wake - MA (Oxf), MSc (Lond)
Chris has worked for the UK Government and a number of NGOs in a range of fragile and conflict affected states. He specialises in planning, delivery and monitoring of peacebuilding and stabilisation projects. He has worked in Africa, the Middle East and South Asia and is currently peacebuilding and governance manager for an NGO in South Sudan. Chris has an MSc in Violence, Conflict and Development from the University of London.
